Frequently Asked Questions
-
We offer a range of psychological services for the whole family, including child therapy, adolescent therapy, family therapy, adult individual therapy, and clinical supervision for psychologists.
-
Trauma-informed care means we recognise that many people have experienced difficult or distressing events that shape how they feel and relate to the world. Our clinicians create a safe, non-judgmental space where your experiences are always respected and your pace is honoured.
-
Evidence-based therapy means we use approaches that are supported by research to be effective. This includes therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and others — always tailored to what works best for you.
-
If you or someone in your family is struggling — whether with anxiety, low mood, relationships, life transitions, or anything in between — therapy can be a powerful space for growth and healing. We offer a free, no-pressure initial chat to help you explore whether Thallo is the right fit.
-
We believe access to quality care matters, and we want to be upfront about what to expect.
Session fees are set by each individual clinician, and typically range between $230 and $280 for a standard session. Your clinician will confirm their specific fee when you connect with them — there are no surprises.
We also understand that cost can be a real barrier to getting support. That's why some of our clinicians offer concessional rates for those experiencing financial hardship. If this applies to you, we warmly encourage you to mention it when you get in touch — we'll always do our best to find a way to make it work.

From the moment you reach out, our aim is for you to feel at ease. There's no clinical coldness here — just real, genuine connection with people who care deeply about the work they do.
Working with us means being met exactly where you are. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we take the time to understand your unique story, your strengths, and what matters most to you — and we build our work together from there.
Sessions are collaborative and at your pace. You'll never feel rushed or pushed into territory you're not ready for. Our clinicians are warm, approachable, and deeply committed to creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest — and hopeful enough to grow.
Whether you're coming in for yourself, your child, or your family, you can expect to be welcomed, respected, and genuinely supported every step of the way.
